In Loving Memory of John J. Skinnon, CPA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague John Skinnon. John passed unexpectedly on July 28, 2019.
John co-founded Skinnon and Faber, CPA’s, P.C. in 1991. In addition to his responsibilities as a partner in the firm, John was also the Chair of the Department of Accounting and an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue.
John’s guidance and kindness aided both clients and students in many ways. John was always available to answer a question or solve a problem. He worked diligently, was sincere and had a grand sense of humor. In an effort to continue his good work, we are working on establishing a scholarship fund to benefit accounting students at St. Joseph’s College.
John was instrumental in establishing the framework for the firm, a full service public accounting firm. His long-term efforts will enable our partners and staff to continue to provide quality service to all our clients. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Our entire staff is available to you.
John’s dedication to helping others both personally and professionally has had a profound effect on everyone he came into contact with. He will be missed by all.
In an effort to continue his legacy, a scholarship fund has been established to benefit students enrolled in the M.B.A. Accounting Program at St. Joseph’s College. We hope you can join us by contributing to the Professor John Skinnon Accounting Scholarship at https://alumni.sjcny.edu/skinnon or contact our office for a contribution form.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Your referrals are our greatest compliment.
